Town and County Taxes are sent out December 30 each year. If you do not receive your tax bill, your taxes are still due, but please notify our office and let us know. Thank you.

Please Note: If you move, change your name, or your escrow status changes please notify the Assessor's Office at Real Property (607) 535-8118 of these changes so that your tax bill mailing address is correct.

Payment Due Dates Penalty
January 2 - January 31 0.0%
February 1 – February 28 1.0%
March 1 – March 31 2.0%
After March 31 the Town Clerk no longer receives the tax payments and all unpaid tax bills are returned to the Schuyler County Treasurer (607) 535-8181. Payments must be made to that office after March 31.
Can't pay your tax bill in full? There is an Installment Payment option (or partial-pay) offered to you. This option is only available through the month of January. The details and the amounts are listed on your tax bill. First Installment is payable through January 31 to our office. Second Installment is to be paid to the Schuyler County Treasurers Office after April 15 and before July 1. The Town Clerk does not accept the second installment.

Payment Options:
- In person: beginning on January 2, 2025 at the Town Clerks office during regular business hours at 135 Havana Glen Rd. Montour Falls, NY using cash, check, money order, or credit card (credit cards will have a 2.75% fee on total amount of bill).
- By mail: Mail to- Town of Montour Tax Collector PO Box 579 Montour Falls, NY 14865. Checks are to be made payable to: Town of Montour Tax Collector. If you choose this option, the envelope must be post marked by the US Postal Service by the final due date. Any payment post marked after the due dates will incur the late penalty.
- On-line: payments may be paid online using a credit card by going to Tax Glance Lookup . However, there is a 2.75% fee on the entire tax bill amount when using a credit card.
